Written by Master Herbalist Andrea Candee (a job not too many of our testers were aware existed) you'll find that the ingredient lists for most of the remedies are not hard to find. What also appealed to our reviewers is that there were often multiple ideas for each ailment. The layout employed is very user friendly so that searches are quickly resolved. Testers were excited to try the healing recipes at home. Ms. Candee recommends checking with your child's doctor before attempting to treat more serious ailments.

This book takes a terrific concept and illustrates it beautifully. Dr. Medhus teaches parents methods by which they can raise children who are internally motivated and self-directed. Her tools help parents teach their children to react based on their own beliefs and to think for themselves, which will help them grow into strong, independent, self-confident adults. The idea that you can start teaching and using her techniques at any age was a great comfort to our testers. There are terrific real-life examples given throughout the book which helps to fortify the lessons. Getting children to think and act responsibly for and by themselves is no easy task, but this guide will surely give you some great, useful ideas.

The folks at Brio who have established themselves as one of the great toy manufacturers have added a new and very different product to their line. This parenting book struck our testers with its dramatic layout, vivid magazine style format and a wealth of superb visuals to support the topics covered. The book is loaded with helpful information but beyond that, it gave practical actions that could be understood and implemented. The variety of subjects ranged from safety and travel tips to what you should know about child care centers, passing down your family history and the challenges facing our children today. This is a great book to have on your nightstand.

If you are looking for a great, lightweight, easy-to-use baby sling, look no further because the Maya Wrap is for you. Whether you are looking for some nursing privacy or a way to free up your hands and hips this versatile wrap will do the trick. There is an accompanying video that gives some great pointers so that you can get the most out of your wrap.
