Kids
Klues
VBW,
Inc.
Whenever we leave our children in the care of another,
whether it is for the day or longer, there are issues and concerns.
Does the caregiver know where everything is, do they know when and where
the kids need to be? Kids Klues is a software based system designed to help you coordinate, in one
organized binder, printed forms that list all of the pieces of your children's lives, so that you can
have some peace of mind when you are away.
The data entry method is time consuming, but parents told us that the
effort was helpful for them as they collected all the tidbits of vital
information from emergency numbers to nap time schedule.
Parents told us that it also gave them a chance to review the rules they
set for their kids such as TV viewing, snacks etc. When all the entries have been made the printouts, which are
easy-to-read and colorful, fit nicely into a hardbound binder for easy
reference.

Creating
Keepsake Books
Any parent will tell you that as a group we are regularly
inundated with the projects and art our children bring home from school.
We all love to see our children's magnificent work of art and that's
where the dilemma begins. We can't
bear to throw it away, yet we can't keep it all.
This little gem of an idea book offers a great assortment of diverse
ideas for displaying and preserving your child's artistic endeavors.
Ideas such as turning these precious gems into clipboards, postcards and
the like impressed our testers with their ingenuity.
This is a very useful book that any parent will appreciate.

Greentree
Publishing
What started as an encouraging, award-winning parenting
book now has the added bonus of a supporting video tape appearance by its
author, Sal Severe, Ph.D. Dr.
Severe has something to offer just about every parent when it comes to
understanding their relationship with their children.
Teaching parents that the behavior they exhibit around their children
will be critical in the development of their kids is at times an eye opening
discovery. Our parent testers told
us that the ability of Dr. Severe to teach without lecturing, to educate while
entertaining was remarkable. The
video does not reflect a polished production, in fact it is a taped seminar with
real parents voicing real concerns. All
this made for a feeling of being participants in the class.
Dr. Severe's method of speaking, using humor, and making good sense
struck a chord with our testers who were eager to recommend it to their friends.

Sports Her Way
by
Susan Wilson
Just about any parent who has watched their child
participate in organized sports can tell you about how beneficial and positive
the experience can be. Some
children take to it better than others, but for those who find their niche in
athletic endeavors the positives aspects are tremendous. Susan Wilson has penned a comprehensive book about motivating
girls to start and stay with sports. Offering
insights that are both personal and gleaned from parents, children and coaches,
she makes a powerful argument for encouraging your daughter to participate.
The enjoyment, pride, self-confidence and physical health are undeniable
in what Wilson terms, "The Bonanza of Benefits".
We couldn't agree more.

Safe Explorer Software Corp.
Trying to limit the exposure our children have to the vast
and sometimes troubling content on the Internet has been an issue concerning
parents for some time now. Safe
Explorer is a unique tool that gives parents an alternative to unlimited web
access. This system, which controls
not only web browsing but computer exploration, provides its own web browser
that offers a variety of pre-selected web sites for your child.
You can select the parameters for exposure and feel safe that your child
cannot wander outside of the set boundaries.
Parents felt that they would use Safe Explorer on computers that would
only be used primarily by their children. For
computers where parents would also be surfing or doing other work, they told us
that the protocols were too invasive.
Recommended Age: 3 to 12 Price: $39.95
