Exact Change is a great example of how to take a simple
idea for a card game, mix in a good teaching lesson, and make it fun for
everyone. The concept is simple
enough; you use playing cards that have a currency value until you can empty
your hand. Everyone can understand
that and be playing in no time, which our testers did time and time again.
Sure there is some math here and its very likely that your child will
have a stronger sense of money combinations and values when you're done with the
game, but at its core, Exact Change is a game, that is entertaining, challenging
and fun.

Attempting to enhance children's geographical knowledge is
not an easy task. The lack of basic
recognition when it comes to our own country should be cause for concern for any
educator or parent. Borderline is a
good attempt at tackling this issue with a game that is easy to learn.
The large cards are both colorful and bold.
By understanding where each USA state is in relationship to others that
share its borders, there is a visual recognition at work here that parents told
us really took hold with their kids. Playing
together with their kids, parents told us that their own recognition level was
given a shot in the arm.
